Bretford creates furniture built for business and education. They asked my team at Central Coast to create a marketing campaign to launch their new line. Each piece, whether it be a chair or a desk, was built with wheels and an electricity port for students to plug in computers and even USB drives. The task was to communicate how the qualities of technology and mobility can enhance the classroom.
After reading the book titled The Third Teacher, we found that now more than ever, collaborative learning is having a positive effect on students and becoming a vital part of the curriculum. The challenge for most teachers though is organizing their classroom in a way that enables collaboration easily. Bretford’s new line of furniture provides that type of convenience. Our team tapped into this insight and used it to create an anthem video to express the idea that learning is social.
We incorporated the “Learning is Social” campaign into a brochure. Bretford used this as a promotional piece to get designers interested in the furniture during the interior design convention, NEOCON.
NECON is North America’s largest design exposition and conference for commercial interiors and the perfect time and place to launch the new Bretford line. My team created wall graphics, interactive media for iPads, and thought provoking videos to bring to life the “Learning is Social” campaign alongside the furniture.
The video below is one that I animated and placed in the showroom on a loop for visitors to view as they walked through the space. This piece tells the brand story and provides viewers with further information about the future of education and how Bretford’s furniture aides in that development.
